Susan’s clay sculptures, inspired from the British Isles, are handbuilt with slabs, glazed with low fire slips and glazes and then fired in an electric kiln. Then she smoke-fires the pieces in a brick box filled with hardwood sawdust.

Susan’s Ancient Imprints are a series of pieces derived from viewing rock carvings and paintings from around the world including Scotland, Hawaii, France, and local pictographs in the Similkameen Valley of BC. Each piece is a unique, one of a kind work of art.

Susan also produces delightful pen, ink and watercolour paintings. Several of them she refers to as “Travel Sketches” and they are reproduced as blank greeting cards. Susan’s collage/mixed media works are composed with hand-made papers and acrylics.
